Terms of use

Last updated: 16 October 2026

What shrinkmail is

shrinkmail is a free tool, in beta, to analyse your Gmail account and clean up what takes up space. It is offered by Shrinkmail S.L. (info@shrinkmail.app). By using it you accept these terms and the privacy policy.

Your account, your decisions

shrinkmail only acts on your email when you ask it to: a cleanup, a rule you save or a filter you create. Before each action it tells you what it will do and to how many emails. You are responsible for reviewing what you choose to clean up and for using shrinkmail only with accounts that are yours or that you are allowed to manage.

The free plan

The free plan lets you send up to 2,000 emails or 1 GB to the trash, whichever comes first; what you undo doesn't count. During the beta, reaching the limit only shows a notice and you can keep cleaning up. If paid plans come later, they will be announced first in the app and here, and nothing you have already cleaned up will be affected.

Nothing is permanently deleted

What you clean up goes to the Gmail trash, is archived or is labelled; shrinkmail never empties the trash. Gmail permanently deletes what has been in the trash for 30 days, so that is how long you have to undo a cleanup.

No warranty

shrinkmail is a free beta and is provided as is, without warranties of any kind: it may have bugs, change or stop being available. Space figures are Gmail's estimates. To the extent the law allows, the provider is not liable for damage arising from its use, such as losing emails deleted from the trash.

Google

shrinkmail uses Google APIs with the permissions you give it. Your use of Gmail and Google Drive remains subject to Google's terms. shrinkmail is not affiliated with Google.
